Judit Polgar is universally recognized as the strongest female chess player in history, reaching a peak world ranking of No. 8 and a rating of 2735. She broke Bobby Fischer's record as the youngest grandmaster in 1991 at age 15 and went on to defeat eleven current or former world champions, including Kasparov, Carlsen, and Anand. She was the only woman ever ranked in the world top 10 and the only woman to compete in a World Championship cycle final.
